Opel Manta C30SE Supercharged
« on: March 21, 2011, 10:34:52 am »
engine config:
inline 6 24 valves
bore/stroke: 95/70 mm *
comp ratio: 1:10 *
firing order: 1-5-3-6-2-4 *
ignition timing 8-12 deg at 700rpm *
fuel pressure: 3.3-3.5 (vacuum off) 2.3-2.7 (vacuum on) *
injector resistance: 16 ohm *
min idle manifold vacuum: 590 mbar *
iat sensor: 2200-2800 ohm at 20C, 1000-1400 ohm at 40C *
iac valve: 8 ohm *
clt sensor: 2290-2800 ohm at 20C, 300-400 ohm at 80C *
crank sensor: vr, 400-800 ohm between p1-p2 *
cam sensor: hall, vcc flashhing between p1-p2, vcc at p3 *

* from autodata

Modifications:

-vems onboard 2.5 bar map instead of original MAF sensor tapped from 6/2 pipe plenum
-Opel v6 24v coilpack instead of distributor
-no cam sensor: wasted spark and semi-sequent injection

Experiences:

Primary trigger
original crank vr works, 60-2, tdc after trigger: 54 deg, first trigger tooth: 4

Secondary trigger
not used

Clt sensor
original bosch,seems 2300/256 patch

Mat sensor
marelli m14x1.5 tappered in plenum, 3050/256 patch

IAC
has limp home mode, approx closed at 35% iacDC and repoen after it

The engine is very det limited with normal fuel, because of the high comp ratio and high MAT. MAT reaches 85 C, when outdoor temp only 15 C. Require cold intake pipe.
MAT fluctuating is causing some problem at idle and crusing, need more MAT/TPS fuel enrichment table tuning.
Original tachometer need a serial inductivity and resistor combo on IGBT, p259 with pullup or stepper not enough.
