feature request - MAF support

I wonder why Vems does not support MAF.
Should be easy to implement.

I always thought you could use MAF sensor in place of the MAP sensor and tune the VE table in the normal way. I would then use the MAP sensor as an active barrometric correction.

that wont work.
You have to divide by rpm and you will get significant rounding differences
in the upper rpm area.

Hello FivePoint6,

Could you give me a compelling reason what benefits MAF sensor usuage would bring over our current available strategies (apart from it is present on my car and i want to use it) ?

Best regards, Dave

Hello Dave,

it was not my intention to start a discussion about MAF vs SpeedDensity.
I think Vems should support MAF like other EFIs do and let the user decide which
fuel algorithm to use.
It should be very easy to implement (use MAF instead of MAP, divide by rpm,  use VE table to tune).

I would like to use MAF because it's easier to tune.
My Airflow-Sensor has a linear curve.
So there are only 2 points to tune instead of 224.

So I wish you will support MAF in near future.

Regards,
Jan
