Can't get the PPS1/PPS2 to work...
« on: February 15, 2016, 02:01:52 pm »
I am struggling getting the E46 pedal to read in VEMStune. At the moment doing this on the bench. TPS and TPS2 work just fine (E46 M3 throttle actuator), inputs work just fine (tested them with TPS) but the pedal sensors don't read. Checked the pinouts numerous times, no change. When connecting pedal connector, TPS2 voltage drops from 4.46v to ~2.7v, why?

It is all weird because in summer I just installed and mapped E46 with the same type sensors and I am using the same config, also verified that the inputs correspond to the function and are not mixed up. And I also tried another E46 pedal, still no change. Both pedals are from manual cars, should I use automatic one?
I am not sure if the pedal on the working E46 was manual or automatic, did not occur to write down part number..

1. GND

2. GND

3. Power 2 GE/GN: +5v

4. Signal 1 WS: 0.5v to 4.5v

5. Power 1 GE: +5v

6. Signal 2 WS/GN: 0.5v to 2v

Any ideas would be really helpful. Thanks!

Does anyone have more info how to use bosch DBW throttle body/ pedal with vems?

I want to remove existing 2pin bosch idle valve and use DBW Throttle body for idle and traction contol.

Well basically like any other DBW setup,
