Its really confusing when they speak of crank degrees in relation to the true TDC rather than the the VR sensor.

I recon that is exactly the same as the Mini set up, so I would give the config ago to start with, some one has already done all the hard work ;D If it does work, I think that a Virtual Pint should be forwarded to those who sorted it ;D

Well true TDC is static while the position of the crank sensor could be almost anywhere.  The relationship between the crank TDC and the sensor can be set using the trigger tooth and TDC before the trigger values.

Fair enough :)

but rover TDC at the crank sensor is TCD, for example, the SPi uses a 36-1-1, with the missing teeth 180 degrees apart, either missing tooth passes th esensor at TDC which ever pair of cylinders.

Thats how those quoted numbers are worked, they come from the workshop manual ;)

I supose it doesnt really matter if you understand it all :D

Hi,
Update:
Threw ECU at car with slightly modded factory loom.
Cranked over @ ~250RPM :)
Tried timing light, TDC mark no where to be seen :(
Swapped coil pack trigger wires round, TDC mark right where it should be:)
Just need to sort out my holey fuel rails now ::)
Thanks to Rob, Sprocket and the guy on the Wiki ;D
Cheers,
Gavin :)
