Title: Analog input problem

Hello Guys.  :)
I have problem to change the right channel for the oil pressures, fuel pressures and oil temp. My sensor shows nothing.

I have choosen EC18/1 Oil press, EC18/2 Fuel press and EC18/16 oil temp.
The picture of vems tune are running engine. 1600omdr.

what are the sensors, and how they are connected, where is supply and so on? have you done calibration of them?

Vems oil/fuel pressure sensor 100psi  - Sensor from vems.
Pin1: GND
Pin2: 5V
Pin3: Signal

The sensor is connected:
 GND in ecu EC36-5,21,22,26,32
5V  in  EC36-28
Signal Fuel pressure EC18-1
Signal Oil pressure EC18-2

There is no respons in vems tune.
I have not do a calibration of the sensor.

Do you see any voltages on channel 0 and 5 with your sensors connected and then disconnected?

The answer might depend on what version board you have. Mine is V3.7 , so my answer is based on mine.
Follow these 3 steps... it should get you going.

Identifying the inputs:
The analog inputs have an internal resistor pull up to 5V. When you go to the analog inputs page you will normally see the unused inputs sitting at 5V.
Test/Identify the inputs by touching the corresponding pins to ground... the voltage will read 0V when grounded (you do this when you're online, with ECU powered up).
Now you will know which inputs work and are not used.

Wiring:
If you have sensors with 3 wires (GND, 5V, Out), you need to remove the internal resistor pull-up to 5V or your reading will be affected by it. Then you wire the output to the input.
If you have a variable resistor type sensor (1 wire) you just tie it to the input (the sensor body needs to be tied to ground).
Now if you go online with the ecu and monitor the inputs, you should be able to see the voltage change when the sensor sees a change in temperature, pressure, or whatever it is that it measures.

Input Scaling:
You will want to convert the 0-5V reading into something more meaningful (Degrees, PSI, etc) so use the built in analog scaling tool or manually enter the scale and offset parameters for each input to obtain the desired reading.

Thanks for the answer, it was just what I needed. I have found 2pc analog input on the ecu. My Fuel pressure EC18-12 and Oil pressure EC18-3, i only need oil temp now. :)

Have you some guide to calibration a (temp sensor)?.
temp sensor must have pullup to 5v and other end to ecu ground, proper calibration would be use custom temp sensor curve put sensor in water with some kind thermometer and heat it :D the best way to do it I believe :D

Go to Inputs then select "Analog Input Calibration" for analog chanels 1 to 2 or "Analog Input Calibration 2" for chanels 3 to 6.

Under the "Calibration mode" for your desired input select: Curve
Then under the Curve drop down menu select: CLT for a typical coolant temp sensor or Custom to make your own curve for the sensor.

If you choose Custom, go back to Inputs menu and click on Custom Temperature Sensor. you will now be able to make a custom curve for your sensor.

I have v3.3 board (from year 2008)
 fw 1.2.11

When i am looking(log) raw analog inputs from 0 to 7, i can identify that ch4 is clt.
ch0-3  stays 0 (0-0.12)
ch4 coolant
ch5 stays at 4.91
ch 6 and 7 are in 4.99

Ch6 and 7 are obiviously ok

But what is happening on ch5?
And where is iat?

Not true. CLT, MAP, IAT and couple internal analog inputs are not those we see among 8 analog inputs captured through MCP3208 chip.
Best way find right ones is using documents supplied with ECU. If not then try to find those inputs on EC18 pins 2,3, 6, 12, 14, 15, 16.   
Pins 2 and 3 might be channels 2 and 5. Pins 6 and 12 - channels 7 and 6.
16 IIRC is analog input ch0.
Pins 14 and 15 also can be internally wired to ch2 and 5 depending on version/configuration.

Hmm. I need to do the comparison again because thats how i reasoned that ch4 is coolant.

I havent found papers yet, more precicly havent found the document that specifies pins. Everything Else is in safe.
