Title: Boost By Gear
Post by: kalns on January 15, 2021, 07:40:28 am
As i could not find topic about this I made a decision to create one.

So I would like to implement boosy by gear sort of. I understand that sequential gearboxes use pot and then you can calibrate analog input by voltage. other option as I understand is to use vr sensor that reads speed of propshaft and then calculate e verything else..

What I want is to be able to select "gears" and control boost with rotary switch and simple voltage divider. Like wrc / F1 and other racecars use rotary switches to limit some functions.

I cannot find in documentation how to connect function with analog input. in motorsports section i see gear voltages, in boost control there is the table. Buy how to pinpoint what analog input chanel to use ?

FW version is 1.2.43

I would realy appritiate if some one could shine light on this for me..

I contacted GintsK, he suggested to use anytrim boost(add) to adjust boost levels as desired.
He said boost by gear should be used by vr sensor / rpm combination as ment, and anytrim for this would be bether choice
