Title: VEMS with Auditrigger on BMW E30
Post by: BimmerDread on December 31, 2009, 11:29:20 PM
Hi all first post to this site.

I bought a VEMS unit on another forum. It came with the audi trigger option which I did not research before purchase.

Since then, I have been doing a whole lot of reading on the wiki and I came across a post that said in order to use the hall sensor as secondary trigger I needed to remove a solder bob on the board. Can anyone explain how and if this works any at all?

I cant find that post again....

I dont need a hall cam sync right now as I intend to do just wasted spark and sequential injection. I may want to do COP injection later on. Can I modify this board?

You can modify any board.

This will be of some help I´m sure.

It does. I didn't look there as the board was prebuilt.

What engine are you going to be putting that on?

I am putting the unit on a 100xxx mile M20B25 swapped into my '88 320.
I have rebuilt it with new seal, bearings water pump etc., o-ringed the block and welded the water channels in the head. I am using the stock head gasket and arp studs.

I am assembling it together now ( in the evenings after work) so its a bit slow. I want to be running NA on stock injectors by end of January.

Later on I am looking to get a hx35 and piping, 42lb injectors and shoot for ~300rwhp at 1 bar.

You´ll definitely find support for that in the VEMS community as many have run almost the exact same setup.
