Title: Lost RPM Signal (SOLVED)
Post by: lugnuts on January 27, 2010, 10:47:16 AM
Problem solved.

Was caused by a bad crank sensor wire (sensor itself).

The shield wire has an intermittent short circuit against the + signal wire,
Diagnosis consisted of watching the +/- resistance while bending/flexing the crank sensor wire.
Very strange!

How did the engine react on this fault? Did it worked erratic or it didn't want to start at all?
