Title: Motronic 55 ecu to laptop comms issues

Hi, I new to VEMS.

I trying to install a Motronic55 on an AAN. The car starts and drives (sort off  ;)) I need to tune, but I cant get comms to my laptop.

I tried:

1. sUNIX cbs 1009 pcmcia om port on com5, same as in vemstune.
2. I downloaded the vemstume version 2008 09 03 and 1.1.27 NOt sure how I did that - i think it cam e with the vemstune.
3. I have a straight through cable
4. I set diferent speeds on the PCMCIA card - not sure what they sshould be though
5. Tried bridging piuns 2/3 then ign on, remove bridge and plug in - read it somewhere- not working

Any thoughts?

What is the best version of vemstune to run and how does the ini fil thing work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated  :)

Always download the latest VemsTune here, the one you mentioned is ancient like a dinosaur.
