Title: Screen output
Post by: 500 on September 02, 2007, 09:37:41 PM
Just wondering if I can make use of a screen I have in my dashboard to use with the vems instead of using a laptop / vems LCD

It has a composite input if that helps

In a word, unlikely, unless its a Car PC as you need a processor to run the User Interface software with.

Ahh, Ok, I was thinking in using it instead of the LCD screen
in conjunction with the PS/2

Is it a dedicated output for the LCD or is it a D-sub connection (if it is the latter,I know I can get a converter for it)

Its a D-sub but dedicated for the LCD screen :(

If you're wanting a nice graphical display the guys have been developing this:

Which is having a screen revamp:

Many of these things are possible.  For logging I have a nice little board on order which has an ARM processor and SD card slot and a serial port UART, in the words of Rolf Harris: "Can you work out what it is yet?" ;D
