Hi all
I have installed a pressure sensor and oilpressure is shown in vemstune , it does flicker alot aprox 0.5bar all the time
Suggestion to make that stop , Can i just use a capasitor inline with the signal ?
And if what size ?
I have also installed a 2 wire oiltemp sensor ,
But i Cant get it caliprated ,
The sensor at 20degrees is 14kohm, so i have read somewere that i need a pullup to 5volt at the same 14kohm , and i have done that
But i Cant figurer out how to get it caliprated Any inputs on how to do that
Thanks

Arg
I just measured the voltage from the sensor and its very low
So it only needs to be around 0.8 volt low temp to 0.4volt at high temp
Can also see that this signal needs to be filteret to stop flickering ,
Suggestions on what to use :)
Thanks
Skassa
When the oil temp is around 90 degrees the sensor voltage is 0.55volt and when it 20 degrees the voltage is 2.2volt
I just Cant input that as i Cant use the input calibration tool as it Will not let me Enter the high voltage as the low temp only as low voltage low temp
Firmware 1.2.13 subaru 4 triggers
What to do ?
Thanks

Hello Skassa,
For a NTC like sensor, the type your Oil temperature sensor most likely is, you need make use of the Calibration mode "Curve" instead of "Scaling" an NTC sensor is not linear therefore the scaling method will not work. Choose Curve "Custom" and fill the Custom curve (from inputs -> custom temperature sensor) with the values for your sensor.
Best regards, Dave
Any suggestions to stop the flickeringon the oilpressure signal
I have a defi olioressure 10bar sensor the i feed with 5v+ , Ground and then a signal wire that goes to a analog input ,
But the signal is constantly flickering really fast , between 0-1bar around the Real value
Thanks

Have you checked the signal conditioning is in place for that input channel on the VEMS PCB? There are usually a few capacitors in place to do exactly what you need, but they are not always fitted to every channel. Also, the protection diode may or may not be there. I have done the calibration thing with a fuel temperature sensor, so I know this works well.
I have not checked the input that i used , i must take it apart one Day to see the pcb inputs
Thanks
