Hi All, the scenario is:
- VR based speed sensor in FD3S RX7 gearbox
- cable based speedo in vehicle

I want to use the stepper motor drive out of the VEMS and retrofit a newer model stepper based speedo/odo into the cable based gauge cluster in the SA22C (s1 RX7) cluster.

Anyone done anything similar or do I have to find something else to drive my speedo?

Not to worry.
Internals from an N15 Nissan pulsar Speedo retrofitted to the gauge cluster easily, took the VR gearbox sensor input and outputs square save for ECU!
Big win.

I have a question, when fitting rx8 with aftermarket ecu, what has to be done with that oil metering pump?
