Title: Speed sensor on old VEMS
Post by: LHK_audi_S2_Nor on August 22, 2016, 08:08:59 PM
Hi
I'm running a V3.3 from around 2010, serial no. 002613
Until now I haven't used the speed sensor, but now I want to try it out.

How do I find out if it's possible to make the wheelspeed sensor work, is it a standard feature on V3.3?

I guess I need a PS2 cable http://shop.vems.hu/catalog/wheelspeed-cable-p-143.html

Update: There is no ps2 port on my V3.3!

Advice is appreciated!  :D
Regards, Leif-Helge

See pictures in link, you need to make small pcb 6x4
I think black wire is wheelspeed in that goes to ec18 connector, use DVM to verify.

Or buy ps/2 cable with connector to plug inside vems.

Try to search forum for wheelspeed and speed sensor

I have it like this and i works good. just connected wire from my dash to vems.

you just need 2 resistors and one diode to be soldered in to vems :) that's all :) nothing more
