Title: Tracion control with new firmware
Post by: lost on February 20, 2017, 09:24:31 AM
I would like to try traction control in new FW, i have older v3.3 board, from reading on the forum looks like there are some differences in holes an "protection" on v3.3 and 3.8 PCB.

I allready have wheelspeed1 from front wheels using hall sensor on gearbox

Rear abs sensor is VR, could i steal signal from one wheel with diode, then use converter to convert to hall signal?
And then input to PIN ??? on v3.3?  Is Any modifications on 3.3 in terms of input protection needed.

http://vems.hu/download/v3/doc/assembly/v3_protected_wheel_speed_connection.png this is circuit you need, + hall vr converter if you want to use abs ring.
http://vems.hu/vt/help/v3/v3_camshaft_angle_control.html next pin to sda pin is wheelspeed2

I need to add wheelspeed2 to my V3.8 board, and put something together on the Wiki. Need confirmation if it is safe to connect straight to SCL connection on JP13 (protection circuit on board?.......) SCL is a sensitive connection and could kill the processor.
