Title: VEMS for turbo Peugeot 206RC(gti180)
Post by: Rckid on May 27, 2008, 06:41:26 AM
Hi to all,
I've been working on a tubo peugeot 206RC(gti180). I'm using dp-engineering's turbo package My parts are ready except turbo the and engine management system. We tried AEM's fuel ignition controller, but we were not happy with the result. Now our decision is using VEMS 3.3. I would appreciate all information about ecu pinout of  206RC(gti180), wiring diagram with VEMS 3.3.
As you may know 206rc has vvt and electronic throttle body, for use of vems are any problem with these? will trigger settings be hard to cope with?
thanks,
Mustafa

Are you not using DP engineering's Peugeot VEMS package too?

Up to now there isn't any pnp vems for 206RC at dp-engineering.
If there were, I would not hesitate and buy it immediately

Excuse my ignorance, I know nothing about Peugeots!

Simple VVT can be handled easily, the electronic throttle body will never be supported.

Then we should change the throttle body to a mechanic one

That is for definate.
You may find that you have to install the VEMS alongside the existing ECU as Ben@Angleworks has found with the newer Renaults that he's been doing.

How can I contact Ben? Using Vems with the existing ECU can be a solution

I doubt he'll be able to help you as he's either at work or asleep.  I do know that he's had to double up on some sensors so that the stock ECU that drives the dashboard gets the RPM, and temperature information that it needs, and then the VEMS actually runs the engine.  This is not a job I'd like to undertake so you have a load of unknowns that need to be found out before you can really start.

thanks a lot for your advices
I think asking dp-engineering again is best way to follow. They are using vems 3.3 at their 206rc but said that it is very difficult to install vems to a RC and also added that they aren't sure if we can succeed at Turkey. I think I am going to ask for base map and all diagrams they have for connection
