Title: Cam Sync Hall Sensor +12V ?
Post by: 190E_Will on February 06, 2019, 08:45:05 PM
Hi

Whilst wiring my engine I accidentally wired the Cam Sync Hall Sensor to 12v instead of 5v and subsequently sleeved the splice with heatshrink tubing.

Will the Hall sensor operate ok without damage to the ECU if supplied with 12v instead of 5v?

Thanks in advance.

no problem because hall sensor pulls output to ground, but, if hall sensor itself is not designed to accept 12v it may die :)
