Title: Audi 20V Turbo 5 Cylinder

Hello,

i have follow problem with a 20V Turbo engine.

I have primary trigger 60-2 

The engine is started and to 4000 rpm is all very good over 4000 rpm the engine make a limiter function the spurk is out and under 4000 rpm is the spark on an so on and so on.

The config is good, I have the same config with audi trigger 135 VR crank home and the engine runing perfect over 8000 rpm

I take the same config and change follow set up
Primary trigger, Secondary trigger and reference table h1

Have you a Idea????

What 60-2 you use?

As Gints says, lets be sure that your trigger is okay - one problem that often comes to the fore is that there is a limiter in Launch control that seems to effect running.

Hello,

The audi 20V Turob engine have original 135 teeth flywheel (trigger1) and 1 setpoint 62° before TDC and 1 Campuls triger (complette 3 trigger)

I would like a other flywheel with a 5,5" Tilton clutch and then I can not take this 2 trigger, i take a 60-2 toothwheel with Hallsensor.

The Setting from this flywheel is at TDC, 11 teeth behind the missing tooth

I have follow h1 reference table setting but I m not sure is this right

0, 96, 72, 48, 24 ( what value are this?? tooth from the 60-2 or what i have no plan in moment from this reference numbers) ???

The launch control anti lag and all other extra settings are disabled

Sorry - do you say that you have a 60-2 trigger or want to fit one?

Hello rob,

sorry for my bad english

The engine is ready 60-2 trigger and all other parts are install.

The engine is runnig to 4000 rpm without problems over 4000 rpm i have this problem.

What kind of a sensor are you using?
You often use a VR sensor when running 60-2.

Hello,

the sensor is a Hallsensor not VR.

I have prove the sensor  with other distance there is no go.

Do you have more info on the sensor? brandname and modell?

Hello,

the sensor  and the multitoothwheel is original VW part. The distance is fix.

I mean thats my setting is not OK, but i have many settings prove the engine is running without problems, starting all functions are OK.

At 4000 rpm and higher then spark cut, all antilag or launchcontrol settings are disaabled

the h1 table what value are this tooth or degree??

Now it opens.
I see some misconfiguration in secondary trigger:
angular width of tooth lower byte must be 6deg*4=24 (0.25deg step)
angular width of tooth upper byte must be 0 (http://www.vems.hu/wiki/index.php?page=GenBoard%2FUnderDevelopment%2FFirmwareChanges read notes on 1.1.30 and 1.1.32)
Engine phase to reset 64 [720deg*4=2880 (in 0.25degries) ; 2880/256=11.25 (8bit counter); 0.25*256=64 (raw counter value at reset)]  ;)

It is good idea to upgrade firmware to something newer - these settings now are much more straightforward and user friendly.
Recheck your advance after changes, please!

Much of the wiki is written by people who have english as their second language, although their english is very good (better than any second language that I have) it does lead to confusion sometimes.

Regler, remember recheck advance. And also you need to fill MAT table. Otherwise you leaves without any correction from air temperature.

English in some wiki pages together with abbreviations from config.txt and coders slang are some kind of brain workout. I can't understand these sentences for hours and days either! But sometimes I am a winner: light comes up and expose the real matter of authors ideas.  ;D Not an easy reading!

English is not my second language. It's third after Russian. May be that is a problem...

i was today with this car and Vems ecu on Dynometer the result is very good :)

670HP and 900 NM Torque at 3900 rpm have the car 600 Nm and at 5000 rpm 900 NM Torque with 2,5L 5 cylinder Turbo

Have you experience with Antilag and Launch Control with Megatune?

Wow 900Nm! What engine internals you use! What turbo? I suppose boost is about 3bar?

Last season I was problems with launch control. I can not adjust it for stable boost on strat line. On low retarding it rises too slowly, with high retard boost goes up to regulated by W-gate boost. And it was too much. You can find description of problem in my wiki and here also.

My idea for  new season is use switchable config, when launch is active. It allow to set another boost level desired at start line.

In newer firmwares shift cut is improved - not 100% cut and retarded ignition. It can be used to keep boost during shifting. Last year was no chance.
I have no experience with ALS.

how can I conect a warning beep light on the vems audi motronic

The vems have a 6pin AMP Conector what outpout can I take?

In the settings from experimental I would take the exhaust temp over 950°C and the the light go on
