Can't seem to find a descriptive list of each LCD page (mlpxx). They get very cryptic and I don't know what exists or which is best for what I am trying to do...
...which, by the way, is determining if I'm getting a crank trigger signal (have to do datalogs, etc. but no sign of a trigger yet, RPM=0, and I am certain the VR is working, per scope and meter).
Thx
Ron
The page with WXX on the bottom line is the one you need (I think) it is the trigger error count and if it's incrementing then you won't be getting an RPM signal however you will be receiving trigger pulses into the ECU. I have a description of a lot of the pages on my old computer, so I will try to dig it out at some point tonight.
Thanks - found that page from Rob's writeup, but it's not incrementing at all.
Sounds like you may have a problem with the VR chip in the ECU. EG. if the P259 chip dies, it can stop this working until the P259 is either fixed or removed.
Have you done a triggerlog with Brayterm (or similar)?
BTW, I'm helping Mike (see http://195.159.109.134/vemsuk/forum/index.php/topic,816.0.html (http://195.159.109.134/vemsuk/forum/index.php/topic,816.0.html))
We have started to dig into more ways to to diagnose this but frankly time is against us. So we'll diagnose that issue in that thread.
Want to do the triggerlog, datalog, and use signalgen.exe. Also just borrowed the old Megasquirt stimulator I built many years ago, but don't reckon that will work since it's a continuous square wave only.
Still would love a list or general instructions on what each LCD page is, since we'll use this a lot once running.
Thanks for the reply,
Ron
Have you seen this page?
http://www.vems.hu/wiki/index.php?page=InputTrigger%2FTriggerLog
Theres a signalgen generated 60-2 file on the trigger error page now.
Kept looking around, found this...http://megasquirtavr.sourceforge.net/manualhtml/Detailed.Central.LCD.html#Operate
Not much there, don't know how old it is, but the author of the doc does an excellent job with what's been done.
Ron
I still have that board that I used to photograph the docs with - its still used for experiements but its never run an engine.
I hope that Sambas could shed some light on what page shows what.
LCD pages from >1.1.43, mlp04 page is different in older firmwares.

Great job!!!
What does it mean "alien" at ignition page?
I think they are used for ignition logging if Vems ECU is connected parallel to oem ECU. Not sure as I have never used this feature.

That is correct. I used this feature many moons ago.
Outstanding, thanks VERY much!
Ron
Wow! Is this possible?
How can I wire together the two ecus?
I think possible to split the trigger but how can I put the oem ecu ign signal to the vems?
