Title: confusing trigger settings
Post by: Seight-v8 on May 30, 2011, 11:32:15 am
hello all,

Over the winter i moved my flywheel missing tooth position from 20degc ATDC to 50degc BTDC, as the config was so confusing, and so my V8 fired in the correct 1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2 order.

Just changing the config over to match the new setup, vemstune is confusing the hell out of me.

Anyone care to explain this new config page, as when i use the settings recommended, my engine wont fire.

It will only work when i have 0,9,18,27 in my tooth table, and not the recommended 9,18,27,0 in new vemstune.

Or am i missing somethime stupid.

cheers

scott

I guess you're running wasted spark. You must rotate the ignition output table accordingly when you change the ref tooth table, and there's two buttons to make life easier : "shift up/down".
