First of all, sorry for my english  ;D

So, this project started in 2006, leading installation of gti engine and vems v3.3 on 2008. Since then i've been mostly driving around, replacing cv-joints and some minor fixes :)

And now we can go to the reason why i am here now:)

Month ago tip of cyl.3 valveguide broke of and fell in to the cylinder.

I replaced cylinderhead, updated firmware from 1.0.73( or something like that) to 1.2.11.
New cylinderhead is ported, camshafts and timing are stock.

Problem is poor idle, it misfires and runs "heavy",   old engine didn't have this problem.

Compressions are "quite" good:

Edit: Changing injectors, coil, sparkplugs and wires didnt make any difference. Ignition timing checked with lamp. Fuel pressure also ok.
Injector, ignition and cranksensor signals checked with oscilloscope. There were no interference as far as i can tell.

I have a little bit of log and config of course. Trying to find a place to upload those.

Almost forgot.

I got 2 fuelpumps, 1 that pumps fuel from tank to a surge tank, and second that makes the pressure for injectors. Both have different relay, both relays are driven from ec36 pin 15 (p259, channel 5)

There was strange phenomenon when i was removing old engine, some point when i was loosening connectors and grounding from engine, low pressure pump activated. When i noticed that, i removed battery.
I am telling this so one can consider possibility that ecm is partially fried.

Anyone?

On the road everything is fine, runs as it used to.

I've undergone base setup, but i dont find any obvious flaw.

Found the problem, after changing engine.
I thought the camshafts were stock, they werent  :-[
Groung weirdly, 0.5mm more lift than stock, ~290 degree duration. No wonder it didnt idle.
Switched engine back in, now it runs good  :)
