Can you give some more info?

I recieved your email, either way i dont see why did you sent it when you have thread?

I heard that EDIS is not so great, but thats your choice...

What car is getting this EDIS coils?
This is the info that i found on Wiki, you should first learn to use wiki, then ask questions....and you must put some more info when asking questions if you are expecting to get an answer.

How to connect EDIS to GenBoard?

    * PIP goes from EDIS => GenBoard primary_trigger
    * no other signals go from EDIS => GenBoard (TACH, COIL, whatever)
    * SAW command signal goes from GenBoard => EDIS
    * configuration must enable EDIS and match the polarity of PIP and SAW

This is the page you are looking for:

Good luck!

   Sorry. I´m afraid. :-[
   I don´t understand more things.
Last weekend, I fit a two coil wasted spark so and as you indicate to me, only that coil drive will be Vems 3.3 pinout 10 and 35.
I understand that it will work in the same way.

VR I have connected it to pinout 27 and ground, without 5v+.

I go by the good way?

To know which pins to connect your wasted spark coils to I need to know which ignition option you bought from the webshop.
The connection posted above shows the most typical connections for the wasted spark pack.
VR is connected to EC36-pin27 and ground, it does not need power so you have it correctly connected.

Unit serial number is 868.
Rob, I bought the Vems to traverse yours.

Ah! Now I remember.  You have a 4 ignition driver system, you can check
which are populated with this:

So you can use EC36-pin34 and EC36-pin10 if want to

The coils already are connected to 12V.
Coil drive 12V or 5V? ???

Coils are supplied with +12v to the common, then the coil ground connections go to EC36-pin34 and EC36-pin36 we call these drivers because they control the coils, and as we're using 12v for the coils these are the 12V Drive pins described below.
Next check that the coil control is setup correctly go to  Settings->Ignition Outputs and check that:
Ignition outputs in use in h[2] is set to 01 .. 00
And that
0 is set to 3 (EC36 pin 36)
1 is set to 2 (EC36 pin 34)

Supposing that drives has the option of 4 ignition driver system and are those of the previous scheme,
can I use the 10 and the 34?,  or rather nobodies of the 4?

    In relation to:
Settings - Ignition Settings - Ignition driver Type: EDIS
                                     - Invert driver output: DISABLED

Settings - Primary Trigger Settings - Type: MULTITOOTH

Settings - Ignition Outputs - Outputs in use: 01.00
                                       EC36 pin 34 and EC36 pin 10

If something is not correct, I occurred it please.

By the way, where I connect idle air control valve? and boost control valve?

Ignition type is Dummy as you are not using the EDIS module, just the DIS coil pack.

Connected and settings are ready.
The needle of the tachometer gauge oscillates, works.

I think he wants to use EDIS module,at least that the way it looked like in email. He sent the sheme of complete module.

Mate are you using complete EDIS pack with module from Ford or just the coils? Because if you want to use complete module i think you need to use Ford Trigger Wheel as well,Rob will confirm on this one.
You didnt wrote on what car is this going to be installed?

The config that Rob gave you is WITHOUT module, just coilpack.

So you can just use this:

You DONT need this:

The car is Ford Escort Rs Turbo.
Engine: Zetec 1.8.
Ford Edis Coil pack (4 cyl)
           Vems Genboard 3.3
VR and wheel original from Ford edis4.

In this moment, this, is the installation.

Did you generate and upload the config and tables in that Ford Release I sent you?
What sort of cranking RPM do you see?
The config is designed to work with the VEMS connected like this:

I loaded firmware again and now already I have spark.
I do not understand the way well to work of firmware.
Whenever it appears a warning of danger, must be loaded again firmware? ???

Rob, I have warning, send by mail.

Thanks.

That warning is not uncommon, you will find that if you go into:
c:\Archivos de programa\VemsMT1.0.73FordRST\VEMS Genboard V3 12x12 Standard

That a file called Audit.log has been created, the details of the fault will be in there.

The firmware is fine, the problem is with the settings that you loaded when you went to File->Open... and used megasquirt200711251138 chispa y revs ok.msq file.

It is best to use download-config.bat, generate-config12x12.bat and upload-config.bat to save and store the changes that you make.  After download-config.bat go into the config folder and rename the config.txt and tables.txt files to something memorable (like config chispa y revs ok.txt and tables chispa y revs ok.txt).
To generate the files into the uploadable format you copy them and rename them then generate-config12x12.bat

Hi to all!
I try to start the engine but I can´t.
I have reviewed the ignition and spark only jumps one time...
When push start button, jump the first spark...after doesn´t continue.

  I think it isn´t normal.

  Send by mail datalog.

  Thanks.

  Florenci.

What has happened between when you had spark and now?

I think perhaps we should consider you sending me your VEMS so that I can bench test it and send it back to you with something that we know works.

I cannot understand how these values are getting reset...
Settings->Basic Settings
Fuelcut above is set to 0 - set this to 120 for now
overrun_fuelcut is set to 0 - set this to 25500 for now
overrun_fuelresume is set to 0 - set this to 25500 for now

Settings->Constants
Constant for RPM calc is 800 and for a 4 cylinder is should be 3000
MAP(load) multiplication is Disabled should be Enabled
MAT dependent retard is Disabled should be Enabled

Settings->Injector Settigns
Inj open time @13.2V (us) is 1088 and should be 0

Settings->Ignition settings
Coil chargetime @14V(ms) is 0! and should be 3.8 ***This would cause a no-spark
Coil chargetime added @6V (ms) is 0 and needs to be something like 1.9

Your Priming, cranking and afterstart values need looking at too
