Title: S50B32 + 6266 turbo + dual Vanos control + base map + setup
Post by: Bravo_Mike_Whisky on February 07, 2018, 11:18:01 am
Hi guys,

I've a E36 S50B32 turbo with a Powermod.com.au unit on top of the Siemens MSS50.
I now want to go standalone as the DME interferes too much.

Before I pull the trigger and get the VEMS PnP, could anyone kindly share a config file/ base map (for turbo) that includes the dual VANOS for my understanding on how it is best controlled please? I'm struggling to get my head around it.

Thanks, Will

I made few n/a s50b32 and lot of turbo s54b32(the strongest 1009hp).

For turbo application you need to use load for ignition advance.

The PnP comes with Vanos working already, so you just tune it.
Only issue is that the exhaust table is the intake cam table and the intake table is the exhaust cam control due to the exhaust sensor having to be the cam sync sensor and therefor automatically assigned as the intake sensor.

It also seems that the best fuel control comes from Alpha-N with always enabled MAP correction. So the map sensor connects behind the throttle bodies.
