Title: Opel C20XE crankshaft sensor

Hi

I got a crankshaft sensor (6PU 009 146-151) with 3 wires that was bourght fore a early C20XE, dos any one know if this is a Hall-sensor?

It is vr sensor. Third wire is shild. Red wire is -, black wire is +.

Thanks alot, but I don't have the original wire-harness so I can't see which one is red and black.
Any ide which one is pin-1,2,3?

take measurements of the resistances across the pins.  Pin3 will be the sheild so it will give no reading across the other pins.

Yes I see but dosent it mather which one I use as + and - (pin 1-2)?

It's matter. If you connect opposite you couldn't read rpm.
