Title: Using stock ignition modules.
Post by: lost on February 21, 2019, 06:18:47 pm
Can VEMS fire this bosch ignition module with logic level output without IGBT?

Are some in-line resistors required.

Or maybe better option is to fire coils with IGBT directly? I'm affraid of "noise" and heat problems with IGBT's in box.

That should work. Looks like the same module as the AAN audi uses. I wouldn't worry about an IGBT inside the case though. Thousands of people are using it that way without issues. But up to you. Either way should work fine.

Thanks,

if i use IGBT inside vems case without cooling in sequential mode, would it work or would ther overheat?
