Doesn´t look it can handle 550hp easily?
http://www.lovehorsepower.com/MR2_Docs/compressor_flow_maps.htm

680cfm is the maximum it can flow. which is about 47lbs of air or 470whp(rough estimate)

I think a bigger turbo and less boost is better suited?

Ha!!!

That´s cool then
plenty enough air for whatever he´ll need, I picked the TD from the original post on the first page.

you shouldn´t need water injection with such a big turbo.

yeah running a hx40 now :D

going to try 1.8 - 2.0bar we hope and get around 500hp

we are getting high inlet temps 47c :( after 11 laps round donnington park at the weekend, i came in to the pits and found the intercooler warm to touch :( buessing this is because the intercooler is in the engine bay next to the rad and lack of air flow thourgh it i think. The water temp stays around 86-88c on track so no problems there.

im also worried about high egt's on track all tho no problems at 1.4bar only 900c

im making something to try force more air through the intercooler, used some 4" pipe work to make a cold air feed to the filter and i have also today wraped the exhuast manifold to help bring down underbonnet temps

you can see in this picture where the intercooler is (in front of rad)

Well what about the air filter inlet temps?
higher inlet compressed means higher output no matter the intercooler ;)

maybe making a very good shield for the air filter would be the next step

well the fitting of the new engine is going well.... moving the intercooler up front due to the 47c inlet temp when mapping and the 52c inlet temp we got on track the intercooler became an interwarmer at donington as it was warm to touch

well today i had a very not so nice drive up to DCMS to see Graham for the alignment.

all i can say, how the hell did i get round donnington in one peace the car is crap to drive jumps all over the place :(

BUT with a massive THANKS to Graham @ DCMS its now a dream and i had a great drive back.

so i ran out of time for the 1st round of TA so we did the alignment by eye and it was as taken by Graham

settings are passanger then drivers side

Front
camber = -1.2deg / -3deg
toe = 1/2 in / 3 in

Rear
camber = -3deg / -2.2deg
toe = 1/2 in / 5 in

there now a much better setting and all the same :D

just go at oil change, mapping, diff, front splitter to fit/do before friday night now!!!!

thanks again to DCMS!!!!

well been out mapping and hit the 8000rpm limit a few timesssss.......... stupid dad driving and me mapping he was to busy looking and keeping the boost at the right level forgot about the rev counter :(

but its all good engines running great (touch wood). will do some more mapping tomorrow as we was getting a little bit of det at 1.6bar all tho the water injection will sort that out i only want to use it to keep egt's down.

still at 11.6 -11.3 afr at the riched point the egt's are 853c so thats good may even take a little fuel out yet will see how it goes once i take a degre out of the timing where the det is tomorrow
