bmw e36 325/328 triggerhjuls problem

Hej

jag har en 325a med vems som jag har bytt vev å kolvar i,tagit från en 328a
har även bytt bröstkåpa å trigger hjul.
men nu är tändningen så fel så den vill inte starta inför mappningen.
Nån som har en aning???

This is an english forum.

Are you sure the ignition coils are connected as they were?
Disable/disconnect the injectors, strobe the ignition while cranking with zero advance and adjust the primary trigger settings.

Ok, sorry i didnt notice that.
i have strobed the trigger wheel and it is off.
at mega tune it says that it has 60 spikes on the triggerwheel
is it the same on 328 engine as 325

anyone with a stroked 325/328??

I did answer on the Swedish forum but we can take it here as well..

The M50 engines have two different trigger wheels depending if its a vanos engine or not.
Non-vanos have the same trigger trigger wheel as the older engines like the M20.
The vanos version is like 60° off compared to the non-vanos, if I don't remember all wrong.

Both wheels still should have 58 teeth in the config, not 60.
You have to adjust the trigger tooth first to roughly set the timing.

i did suspect that it had something to do with the triggerwheel
i will try to switch
