VEMS on AE86

irishtwincam:
Need the pin out information on the above coilpacks so they can be wired to the VEMS on this AE86 rallycar.

Cheers to bob for the following information:

I did a google on BAE 04 coil and found the Weber Alpha instructions
http://www.webcon.co.uk/newitems/ACM-4.0a-S.pdf

If you look at Page 57 it shows something claming to be a BAE 04 coil
which looks very like the coil your brother has

http://www.webcon.co.uk/newitems/ACM-4.0a-S.pdf
It lists:
Standard 4-way minitimer connector.
Pin 1 - Coil negative plugs 1 & 4.
Pin 2 - Coil negative plugs 2 & 3.
Pin 3 - Coil positive.
Pin 4 - Common.

Can anyone tell me if PIN 4 is for the Tacho/RPM?

[email protected]:
its possable that its for the tacho, but I'd be wanting a couple of isolating diodes and a zener to take the spikes out.

irishtwincam:
Um.... can you make that and send the wire in the post with a directional arroy on it pointing toward tacho.

[email protected]:
Is it not on the plug side of the loom?
If not I can hurl one your direction.

Rob

irishtwincam:
I cant rightly remember if theres a single RPM wire for the gauge on the loom?
Would it just be a wire coming from somewhere both negatives are heatshrinked together or something?
