What sort of voltages are you seeing when the engine is running?

As far as battery voltage. It was cycling from 12.5 to 13.2. The alternator worked itself to dust when the mark8 fan started to draw too many amps.

I have since replaced the alternator now 13.8-14.2 and just replaced the fan motor today as well. I hope to drive the car again in the next couple of days.

My last project was a 2.8L inline 6 using an EDIS-6 coil and made 540whp on pump at 22psi of boost with 0.035 plug gap, no problem. I think the edis-6 is good for around 750whp. Two edis-4 modules (edis-8) should be good for around 1000whp.

The edis coils are excellent.

First problem:
Take that MSD and throw it in the garbage.

Drive the EDIS coil directly with VEMS. 3.8ms under full load is about right.

Second problem:
If you still have issues, throw aways the "screamin demon" coils and get OEMs ones.

Seriously, this will work.

Well after being swamped with other things for the holidays, I ran the car...

I had a bad fan motor that lead to a shorted alternator. After replacing the alternator and fan motor, I set the dwell time to 4.0 constant.

The car pulls better and has not yet missed a beat. I am very pleased and hope this fixed issue helps some one someday..

Thanks for all the input. John
