Display values keep increasing and no refresh back
« on: August 20, 2014, 01:53:01 pm »
Hi,
I already had a look at the previous threads but didn't find an answer.
So i started the engine, but I found the Round not to work correctly, as the lambda and egt values doesn't fluctuate back when needed (for a richer mixture and for minor egt), and the only way to refresh the lower values is to push the button.

Please have a look at the video:
http://youtu.be/ETYi1caEzic

Any advice?
Thanks

SOLVED.
I turned back from 1.5.7 fw to 1.5.3, and everything is fine now.

Hello Wolf_Tm,

You seem to have enabled "peak hold mode" for some (or all) of the display slots, for more info see: http://vems.hu/vt/help/round/round_display_peak_hold_settings.html

Best regards, Dave

As you can see, that's the page I got with the latest firmware, and as per page title it says "Display Mode Settings", no referring to a Peak & Hold setting:

And how to set the slots

Yes, jrussel...
what I meant is that the 2014 August issue I got came from the fact that in the 1.5.7 i had there was no Peak & Hold settings window under the Display menu.

With any new feature in firmware we also push new configuration menu's to Vemstune; Make sure you have updated your Vemstune installation to the latests state, in Vemstune->Preferences-> Update ini files from web (internet accesses is required to perform this action successfully). After update start Vemstune and you should have the menu when connected to your round.

I have the same problem.

It is also "fixed" for me by using firmware 1.5.3, although fixed means that it isn't in peak & hold mode any more but I still can't see the Display peak hold settings menu unfortunately. This is a bit annoying as I'd like to set up a view with peak and hold.

If it matters:

- serial number is 1039, and I am testing it on the bench (I thought that was prudent as I bought it years ago and only just getting to using it)
- tried various firmwares and versions of Vemstune back to 2011

Hello CamB,

Let me repost/quote:

Did you run these updates ? If so, please make a bugreport from VT with your round connected, that way i have all relevant info about your user configuration.

Best regards, Dave

Yep - did all the updates with latest Vemstune. Also multiple firmware and Vemstune combinations.

Will try do the bug report tonight - thanks for your help.

At the moment I am on the older firmware (with working gauge) and latest Vemstune / ini files. Is it more useful to you if I do the bug report on this setup or should I go to the latest firmware too (I don't have the peak and hold menu item either way)? Carries a minor risk for me of losing the gauges functionality but since I got it working once I suppose I can do it again.

Done, with firmware 1.5.10 as peak/hold looks to have only been an option since 1.5.7.

Menu item not there, and I added a screenshot to the error report:

Hello CamB,

Thanks for the report was able to pinpoint the issue.

1.5.10 requires a Dev version VT (04-04-2015) as annotated on: http://www.vems.hu/wiki/index.php?page=AfreshTiny
Required VT version available here: http://vems.hu/download/v3gui/dev/VemsTune-Install-2015-04-04.exe

Any version between 1.5.7 and 1.5.9 should work without problems with your current VemsTune version.

Best regards, Dave
