LSU 4.9 Wideband Sensors

Waiting to pull the trigger on a pair of these. Any update on the expected arival of the firmware update for the LSU 4.9 sensors?

I'm driving and testing lsu 4.9. So far works good, but a little bit of more time is needed to test it properly.

Change one resistor and add one resistor to 5v.

I am a bit frustrated that they don't last longer.  They are quite dirty when I take them out, but saying that they are located a long way away from the turbos so it's at least not heat that is killing them.
I have them in the midsection of the exhaust system, and not in the downpipes, so they are basically in the OEM location.

Symptoms are that they start jumping around for a while, but then go down to Lambda 0.7x and jump around between 0.73 and 0.77.

Amy idea why they are going off so fast??

No, its a BMW M3 with a Supersprint de-cat xpipe.  Sensors have a good angle away from the flow of exhaust gasses, located on top of the exhaust system.  No real reason why they should go off this quickly.. Unless its a settings error in the VEMS killing them

I would even say that they are a bit too far away from the engine.

they all seem to fail in the same manner.  Starts with fluctuations, then they drop down to LAMBDA 0.7xx levels and bounce around.
No messing about with settings.

Can these be cleaned so they work again?

Fix that problem, and your sensors will last..
