machine 60-2 into front pulley - audi ABZ
« on: May 14, 2016, 12:32:08 am »
I have multiple trigger issues.  No 60-2 on flywheel and no board hardware for audi teeth trigger.  Have been running a weird, rare aluminium front pulley with a 60-2 bolted on, but this is not the matched the pulley/dampener to the motor and there is a lot of vibration.  As well, the front flange on the pulley is broken off in places and I am afraid it will eat the belt some day.  There is no way to bolt a 60-2 to the correct steel front pulley because of the rubber bit.  So, my question is could I machine a 60-2 ring into the pulley?  There seem to be a place to mount the sensor that would be perfect for that.  Any ABZ experts out there?

Or else pull out the flywheel and have 60-2 machined into the lip?  I have brand new stage 3 clutch that will not work with the newer types of 60-2 flywheel and I like the perfect weight of this audi PT OEM flywheel. Would rather not pull the whole bloody thing out again, however.
