Coolant sensor issue
« on: April 01, 2017, 05:05:31 am »
Hi

I have been running my Volvo B230FK with VEMS for some time now, but i have always had some problems with overheating if idling too long.

So i upgraded the cooler to a massive aluminium radiator with two quite powerful fans, this helped a bit, but issue remains .... So i discovered when i turn on some equipment that uses power, such as long beam, cabin fan, heated rear window .... Then the coolant temperature in VEMS rises, and then the coolant fans starts to run, and the temperature goes even higher.

I did a short clip on it, sadly i only speak danish in the clip. But what i am saying is ... "Now i turn on the heated rear window, cabin fan and high beam" and " Now i turn it off again"

I suspect grounding could be the cause. I have tried making the connections better, but makes no difference. Also tried a different sensor with same result.

Suggestions  :-\ ?
