Car died on idle and refuses to start..
« on: September 07, 2017, 11:28:34 am »
hello hopefully someone could help me with my issue :)
Car:
Bmw E36 touring
Bmw M62B44 v8 single turbo
runs on E85
Vems 3.3 ecu
DW200 to catch to 2 044s on E85
Vag coils
month old SMP 1200cc injectors

ran on idle, choughed and died and now refuses to start.
thought it was bad fuel since it was related to me filling the car up.

new E85.
Choughs on startspray so got spark
injectors work in the injector test
got trigger signal
good fuelpressure
tried removing the fuelrail and hit the starter, no fuel when trying to start, doesnt open the injectors (none)
Ran well before this incident.

someone have any ideas?
can something broken in the ecu cause this issue?

new to vems and cartuning so dont really understand what could cause this since it has spark and trigger signal.
not sure if this is the right sub-forum first time here.

hopefully someone can help me get my car running again  :-\ , thankful for any assistance!

Vems may have gone to "Safe mode"?

you should see what's wrong even in trigger log :) fuel pump dead? or the hose blew inside tank?

Fuel pumps work fine, i have fuel pressure and if i try opening the injectors in the test when Fuel pumps are on theres fuel coming out.
Had a guy look at the trigger log and said it was fine. Ignition is good it just wont open the injectors while cranking.
Tps checked and tested.

Thinking if something inside the ecu is broken..

okay.. well got any ideas?
i mean the wiring is obviously not broken since the injectortest works.
i have ignition.
i got fuelpressure and if i try to test the injectors with running fuelpumps theres fuel coming out of em.
all fuses are checked, tps seems fine (shows 0-100).
newest firmware.
removed the fuelrail and tried cranking and they wont open.

how do i know if the vems have gone into safemode?
would it shutdown the injectors only and not the ignition?

do you have duty cycle in log when you are cranking?

why you are holding full throttle when cranking? it disables injection..
