New here and a few questions about VEMS
« on: January 24, 2018, 08:56:55 am »
Hi guys, I have a couple of questions about vems. I’m am looking at it for my old jetta coupe. It’s more about how I should have the unit configured when I buy it as I am unsure of the engine I’m going to build. I currently have an ABF in it just now and have toyed with the idea of turboing it. I also have loads of stuff collected for a vrt. Would I be able to get the ecu where it’s possible to run it on either engine? Both use the same crank trigger and very similar sensors.

Also I know it’s probably been asked a million times but where is the cheapest source buying from the U.K.? They seem to have increased about €200 since I last looked.

Also any base map sources around?

Thanks so much for the help!

Daniel

VR primary, Hall secondary triggers
Internal 4bar simple barbed nipple MAP sensor
8 IGBT if you're going to use the Bosch Motorsport 2x3 coil pack (recommended), adjust to 4 IGBT if you'll use logic triggered coils.
EGT and Knock as you desire
Defaults for the rest
