325i HX35 I installed VEMS on.

Here is a AC Schnitzer E30 325i ´91 I installed VEMS on.

Note. Mattias Sandgren supplied the Ignition table but I had to pull timing, but will hopefully add it back shortly.

666 Turbo adapter


Holset HX35 off a 6.9 Cummins Diesel.

335i vs 325i turbo , 335i has standalone(I mapped that as well) and does a 3rd gear start while the 325i turbo does a 4th start.

All the vidoes are at 0.7bar boost and no boost control apart from the wastegate and backed off timing.
He used  a MLS gasket but was getting some leakage into the cooling system so is running a stock gasket now.

As it stands now.


Car is now running a boost solenoid, running a set duty cycle as the other way was resulting in to much boost fluctuations.
will wait for duty cycle control to get the boost on sooner and leave it as it is now.

1bar saw no issues with stock coil, nor did 1,2bar using 3ms dwell time, at 2ms 1bar was impossible.

Owners wish is to run about 1,2 bar boost with durability, as well as getting boost in as soon as possible,
He will soon change the 3,73 diff to a 3,25 as 1st gear is useless and 2nd gear almost as well.
3rd and higher is where the awesomeness happens. Yesterday he Vmaxed it in 5th gear at 6500rpm,
I fixed a soft revlimit there and a hard one at 7k.

It´s using ignition based idle as well as a ICV, idles a little rough, so I´m going to close the throttle body and adjust the ICV with fixed advance and get as good of a idle as possible and then let the ignition control keep the idle steady, there is about +/-20rpm variation at the moment.

Car is now running a set boost control duty cycle.

so boost is 1.1-1.2bar .

Tonight upgraded to wasted spark.
In the next couple of days upgrade to 1.1.44 and raise the boost until the duty cycle is 85% or so.
probably about 1.4-1.5bar boost.

Also installed a variable resistor to control boost level when upgraded to 1.1.44

Installed the variable boost control
and raised the boost to 1.5bar.

The setup is real nice. 450cc´s are over 80% duty cycle.

The 1.1.44 is a much better firmware then 1.0.73 was , everything as like new oem when driving yesterday

I was thinking about switching to 1.1.44 also...
I`m currently running 1.0.73 with 1bar...

Is the engine completely stock? Head gasket? i see arp head studs...
E30 2.7 - VEMS,KKK K27.2,Schrick,1bar

Stock headgasket and ARP bolts.
That´s the only mods done to the engine.

he´s got a bigger radiator that helps alot keeping the engine temp down.
