correct map sensor?
« on: September 17, 2019, 07:19:57 pm »
hello all,

do I have the correct map sensor for my application?

currently I have 414kpa sensor......MPHX6400A,, so that's 20 to 400kpa range.....

As my engine is NA...would I be better with a smaller one, say the 115kpa?, from the webshop.

Just wondering if my current 414kpa sensor has enough resolution the engine needs at lower readings, and is 20kpa enough, if the engines on overrun?

thanks
scott

That sensor works just fine for N/A also. There may be some weird corner case where it doesn't, but in all the non-turbo cars I've ever installed it's been with the 400kpa and it's been plenty resolution.
