Bosch 2x2 ignition coil

Hi guys.

Im running an Audi V8 ABH with "dumb" COP pack, using VEMS with 8 IGN drivers. Im suspecting an ignition issue and I wanted to verify that the COPs are not the problem.

As I have 4 free stepper driver outputs, I wanted to temporarily wire in two Bosch 2x2 ignition coils with integrated ingition driver (0221603010).

To test if this setup will work I connected the switching pin of the coil to stepper B output, changed the ign output in VEMS to stepper B and when I test the output, nothing happens. When I disconnect the cable from the ECU and "scratch" it against a +12V terminal, the coil goes off.

Could anybody please tell me how am I supposed to set the VEMS up to fire these coils?
