The car:

The engine:

turbo 2,5l block
+Darton MID sleeves
+JE 104mm pistons
+S2 stroker crankshaft
------------------------
= 3.0l four-banger

turbo conrods, will be changed to PO-Metal ones
piston oil squirters machined into block
I-J crank scraper/windage tray
N/A head
ARP head studs
Cometic MLS gasket
new gaskets, bearings, belts, rollers, water pump
all hardware fresh plated or new
powdercoated this and that

Holset HX40 super
Siemens Deka 900cc injectors
3"->3½->4" stainless exhaust with Magnaflow "silencer"
Apexi AVC-R
Bosch 044 fuel pump

VEMS Genboard v3.3
Firmware 1.1.24
MegaTune 2.25
Wasted Spark ignition
Original triggering, ie 132+1 with two VR-sensors

The can of worms:

Nice work, looks like a lot of work has gone into that.

hello, we have talked on rennlist/944sverige before, my 944T is also getting vems, but seeing as I'm a cheater I'm paying the guys at dp-engineering to do it :)

you should no doubt see some wicked power numbers, and I think thoose injectors might even be on the small side, especially with E85.

if you haven't changed ic yet I posted on my thread on 944sverige/rennlist about the rx7 ic that barely fits, but has a whopping 2-3mm clearance so it does indeed fit, might be something to add to the list. and as you probably know your airfilter isn't ideal :)

You will need about 30% more fuel to run E85

Yes, there's a larger IC:

I'm very aware of my air cleaner location problem, and I'm working on a solution to that. Cleaner will stay there, but it'll get fresh air. We don't have here E85, so I just have to do with Shell V-Power.

EDIT: The air cleaner in that picture is not there anymore, it's been replaced by a bigger one 6 months ago. I'm also working on a version 3 of inlet manifold, it'll be somehow smaller with 3" IC pipes, reversed IC flow and the air cleaner will be turned left behind the headlight.

A small update, if I may. Most of the bugs are solved, idle area of the VE-map is more or less adjusted and ICV works now, keeping 900+/-20rpm (warm ) idle. So there's a chance I'll be driving this summer.
The next step is to take the car to dyno for engine break-in and ignition/VE adustment. This because here's winter now and I want to get the car running and adjusted for the beginning of the season...
