Here is the car, slightly modified 2001 Daewoo Lanos Sport. Modifications:

1. OZ Superleggera 16'' rims
2. Custom Headlight projectors
3. Eibach pro springs
4. Custom mash
5. Removed all badges, rear window washer, tinted lights, antenna, etc
6. Custom SMS alarm system

1. Opel engine c20xe
2. Opel engine mount for kadett GSI
3. Opel engine mount absorber for kadett GSI
5. clutch set for c20xe
6. Opel Astra-G electrical hydraulic power steering

7. Daewoo Lanos Gearbox (D16)
8. Daewoo Lanos A/C komp
and everything else from Lanos

Everything Bolt on, except for A/C komp, have some mounts remaking.

Here is first resaults:

Then I was doing some headworks, and remaps, and decat, and custom exhaust, and powercap, and get to 172HP on MAHA dyno-brake.

Then I get my hands on wizards of NOS, SB150i4 nitrous kit:

And made my custom NOS progressive controller:

And got some nice resaults on 1/4 mile (13.97s):

But still going N/A, and still got works to do:

1. custom exhaust manifold
2. custom inlet manifold
3. cams
4. stand alone after market ECU

So, I'm going VEMS...  ;)

Another nice project.

We've got a multiple map feature in the firmware that's being tested at the moment, that will enable you to switch maps as you trigger to Nitrous.

I hope so... That's why I'm going VEMS, and LPG (bifuel) too...

Now I have to get as much information as possible, how to start VEMS conversion...

I have a few main goals for VEMS:

1. Enable wasted spark ignition (coil pack)
2. Full sequential injection, both on LPG and fuel.
3. Double maps/configuration so VEMS controls both fuel injectors and LPG injectors (bifuel)
4. Modified fuel maps for NOS.
5. launch control.
6. flat gear swifting.
7. advance/retard ignition timings per cylinder...

I like VEMS very much, because it is based on AVR (Atmel mega series), as I'm using AVR for mine designed car alarm systems, engine piggybacks, etc, so I would like to contribute VEMS advancement at least in those directions/options that VEMS doesn't have for now, but I'd like it to have..
Also some advanced/intelligent configuration switching, like: When driving on LPG, and it passes 5krpm, VEMS automatically switch on fuel...

I have Landi renzo full sequntal LPG kit installed, with 4 LPG fuel injectors, and Landi Renzo piggyback that connects to main EFI system (ECU) on injectors and prolongs fuel injection timings for LPG injectors. My main  goal is to get rid off both stock ECU, and LPG piggyback, and replace it with unique EFI managment like VEMS!

So, the first steps would be to get a hold on that V3.3 and some wide band O2 sensor...

What do you think?  ::)

It sounds like a plan, how much of it is possible right at the moment I'm not sure as the map switching function is something I've not yet been able to play with yet.

Nice Daewoo :)  If you change rods and studs you will be able to make lots of power from this engine :)
What is your power target ?

I did the wiring for the VEMS. Still have to solder VEMS board to the motronic connector... :)

My friend Damir Muha, did the first configuration and the engine started... Alto the knock and hall sensor aren't configured, and he did only preliminary mapping with retarded spark, and the injectors are too small, on 0.7bar the car is like the beast on steroids... :)

In the second gear on good road when rpm reaches 4500rpm, it looses traction. In the third gear it's hard to control as it swings on the road as wheels are getting traction...

It pulls harder above 6000rpm, and pulls hard all 6 gears... Stock ECU and this one, alto the boost is only uprated from 0.6bar to 0.7bar, and with no overboost (stock had 0.8bar overboost) difference is big..

Now I need bigger injectors, and must learn a lot about configuring VEMS to enable LPG (bifuel staged support and knock sensor)...

Hello,

Take a look at my topic. There is interresting article about orginal Motronic Let knock sensing.
What is strange the OEM ECU use 15Khz as a knock frequency.
Actually I didn't move the engine to the new car so I'm not able to experiment with this but it can be helpfull for you.

Thank you... MWfire, was talking something about different frequency of knock sampling, so this is useful.... Obviously, there is a lot of false positives on natural engine frequency, so Bosch found out there was a better frequency for knock sampling...

Engine is 96x96mm, I don't know what is equitation for calculating knock frequency.. I didn't yet get to that point.. My primary goal is enabling bifuel, as this gasoline price is killing me now...

Also I have a problem with engine stalling after releasing throttle in drive...

I hope that stable release of new firmware will be released soon. I need switched maps for nitrous injections. Please keep posted about your progress with vems.
I'm very curious of your ignition advance maps.

Last Friday I have smoked the new Audi S3 (with miltek exhaust)...

Last Saturday I have installed new big injectors (630cc). And yesterday I have fried the 3rd piston or piston rings...
